NOPD Seeking Suspect in Aggravated Assault on North Claiborne Avenue

The NOPD is seeking the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a male subject believed to be responsible for an aggravated assault that occurred in the 6100 block of North Claiborne Avenue on November 4, 2018.

At or about 12:14 a.m., a customer who had just left a store in the area reportedly returned to the store, brandishing a firearm at the victim. Detectives learned that the perpetrator reportedly held the firearm in his right hand and threatened the victim and demanded that the victim open the door. The perpetrator then allegedly enter a white vehicle which had a gray bumper, and the vehicle fled east on North Claiborne Avenue.

The perpetrator is described as an unknown black male with a medium build and brown complexion, wearing a black hat, black jacket, black jeans, white/black Jordan #9 edition sneakers (an example of which are pictured above) and armed with a gray or black semi-automatic handgun.

The perpetrator’s vehicle is described as possibly being a white 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier four-door car with gray bumpers and a small missing paint patch on the roof.
