NOPD Identifies Person of Interest in Fatal Carjacking on Prentiss Avenue

NOPD Identifies Person of Interest in Fatal Carjacking on Prentiss Avenue

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating Edwin Roy Cottrell (DOB: 03/12/2000), who is believed to have valuable information regarding a fatal carjacking.

On November 27, 2018, Third District officers responded to a call reporting a carjacking in the 2400 block of Prentiss Avenue.

The perpetrator was allegedly fleeing in the stolen vehicle when he struck the victim, leaving her critically injured. The victim later died at a local hospital as a result of injuries.

Cottrell is not currently wanted for this incident. However, detectives would like to locate the subject for questioning regarding this investigation
