The NOPD is looking for Desmond Picquet (DOB: 07/25/95) after he fired multiple shots at a home in the 2200 block of Mandeville Street.
The incident happened on Friday, November 3, 2017. At about 8:20 p.m., Picquet and his girlfriend arrived at the victim’s residence and demanded she come out of the location to fight. The victim told police she refused to come out the location when she observed the wanted subject’s girlfriend armed with a hammer. The victim stated Picquet then threatened to make her come out of the residence.
As the wanted subject made threatening statements, he reportedly raised his shirt and showed the victim he was in possession of a dark-colored firearm.
The victim stated she immediately closed the door, and several seconds later Picquet’s girlfriend began to break the windows of the residence using the hammer and then shots were fired at the victim's residence causing bullets to rip through her home.
Picquet is wanted for aggravated criminal damage to property, illegal discharge of a weapon and illegal carrying of a weapon.
