The NOPD Homicide Unit is investigating a homicide that claimed the life of an unidentified male.
Seventh District officers responded to a call of an unclassified death of a male near Donald Douglas and Lakeshore Drives. Upon arrival officers discovered one male victim in the 5400 block of Lakeshore Drive with an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive.
