Suspect Sought for Aggravated Assault on St. Philip Street

NOPD is searching for a man who pulled a gun on a local man earlier today (Nov. 28).

 

The victim reported that on November 28, 2016 at approximately 1 p.m., he parked his vehicle in the 2800 block of St. Philip. After exiting his car, he observed an unknown black male crossing the street. The unknown male crouched down between some bushes then ran towards the victim holding a silver semi-automatic handgun. The suspect yelled at the victim and the victim ran inside and called 911.

 

The suspect is described as a black male wearing all black clothing, including black shoes and a ball cap with bright red lettering. He was also carrying a backpack. Surveillance video captured footage of the suspect, and still photos are included below.
