Suspect Identified in Stabbing on Eastview Drive

The NOPD has identified Tatiana Jackson (DOB: 8/31/00) as a suspect in an aggravated battery by cutting that took place in the 4800 block of Eastview Drive.

On October 23, 2016, at approximately 10:50 p.m., the suspect and the victim communicated over social media and made arrangements to meet in person. The victim picked up the suspect, who was seen walking from an apartment complex located at the intersection of North Villiere Street and Independence Street.

Once the suspect entered the vehicle and the victim drove them to their predetermined location, the suspect retrieved a pocket knife from her jacket and began stabbing the victim. The victim exited the vehicle in an attempt to get help. The female suspect then attempted to drive away in the victim’s vehicle but was stopped by neighbors but she fled the scene on foot.

A photo of Jackson is included below.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or the whereabouts of Tatiana Jackson is asked to contact Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.

Identifying Juvenile Suspects

The NOPD does not regularly provide information on juvenile suspects, but the Louisiana State Children’s Code allows law enforcement to identify juvenile suspects who are wanted for a felony-grade delinquent act.
