The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Jonas Christopher Eugene Bruce (DOB 11-12-1984) in connection with an aggravated domestic assault that occurred on November 15, 2016 in the 14700 block of Chef Menteur Highway.
At about 6:20 a.m., an altercation occurred at the residence shared by Bruce and the victim, where Bruce allegedly kicked the victim in the back and also allegedly threatened her with a handgun. The victim then called police, after which time Bruce fled the location prior to police arrival.
When located, Bruce will be arrested and charged with aggravated assault-domestic and domestic abuse-battery.
Bruce is described as a black male standing 5’9” and weighing about 170 pounds. A photo of Bruce is included with this release.
