The NOPD is investigating a double homicide that occurred last night (Nov. 6) on North Broad Street.
A little before 11 p.m., officers responded to calls of gunshots and an aggravated battery by shooting at North Broad and Republic streets. Upon arrival they found a gray SUV parked in front of a food store with two unknown black males suffering from gunshot wounds inside the vehicle. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victims’ identities and the official cause of death.
