The NOPD Eighth District Detective Unit arrested Shaquill Mason (DOB: 9-4-1992) and Desmond Henry (DOB: 12-17-1994) in connection with multiple armed robberies that occurred in the Marigny Area. The incidents occurred on October 31, and November 3, 2016.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified Mason and Henry as the suspects in the following incidents:

• Armed Robbery reported on October 31, at Marigny and Dauphine Streets. The 48-year-old victim was walking in the area when he was approached by an armed black male suspect who demanded his wallet. After the victim complied and the suspect fled.

• Armed Robbery reported on November 3, at Marigny and Dauphine Streets. The 32-year-old male and female victims and a 31-year-old female victim were all walking in the area when they were approached by two black male suspects who demanded their property. After the victims complied and the suspects fled.

• Armed Robbery reported on November 3, in the 2800 block of Dauphine Street. The 27-year-old male and 25-year-old female victims were walking in the area when they were approached by two black male suspects who demanded their money. After the victims complied and the suspects fled.

• Armed Robbery reported on November 3, in the 600 block of Franklin Avenue. The 59-year-old male victim was walking in the area when he was approached from the rear by two black male suspects who grabbed his arm and took his cell phone, then demanded his property. After the victim complied the suspects fled.

Both suspects were already in custody on other charges and have been rebooked with the above four counts of armed robbery at Central Lockup.

Investigation into the incident is ongoing, and detectives are additionally investigating other armed robbery cases believed to have been committed by the same suspects.
