New Orleans Police are asking the public's assistance with locating a suspect wanted for aggravated assault with a firearm.
Wanted is Charles William Matthews (pictured), Black male, DOB 07/03/1980. His last known address was in Slidell, LA.
Charles William Matthews is considered armed and dangerous. Citizens should not approach him and should call police instead.
According to investigators, around 7:45 p.m. on May 10, 2025 in the 1500 block of Socrates Street Charles William Matthews threatened the two victims with a handgun and also committed a simple battery before fleeing.
