The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force (Houston, Tx) along with the aid of NOPD's Violent Offender Warrant Squad and U.S. Marshals New Orleans Task Force have arrested Kyron Keith Fazande (DOB: 2-21-2001) in connection with a homicide that occurred April 28, 2023 in the 3800 block of Canal Street.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide detectives developed and positively identified Fazande as the perpetrator in this incident, where 23-year-old Hilbert Walker III was shot to death outside of a local business and a 54-year-old woman inside was wounded.

Fazande was taken into custody without incident at residence in Houston this morning.

He will be extradited back to New Orleans to be booked into the Orleans Justice Center on charges of Second Degree Murder, Attempted Second Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery.

This investigation is active and ongoing.  No further information is available.
