The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in locating a subject wanted in connection with the investigation into the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle involving a stolen Hyundai.
On October 2, 2022, the victim reported the theft of their Hyundai vehicle from Elder Street and Clermont Drive in the Third District.
The vehicle was recovered several days later and through investigation officers identified Cailyn Carnes (white female, DOB: 01-24-1996) as a suspect in the alleged unauthorized use of the stolen Hyundai.
Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Carnes is asked to contact Third District detectives at 504-658-6030 or Crimestoppers anonymously at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-7867.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
