The NOPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a subject wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred last night (May 16, 2023) in the 1900 block of North Broad.
At about 8:47 p.m., NOPD Fifth District officers responded to a call of a shot person at the location. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive male subject down at the location. The victim was found to have sustained a gunshot wound(s) and was transported to a local hospital, where he was declared deceased.
Through investigation, detectives obtained video surveillance and have positively identified a subject wanted as a person of interest. This person is not currently wanted in the homicide at this time, he is sought for questioning only.
