The NOPD is requesting assistance in locating a person of interest for questioning in the ongoing investigation of a homicide that occurred on March 29, 2023, in the 1600 block of Pleasure Street.
Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Section detectives have developed Kavon Matthews (pictured, black male, DOB: 10-25-2002) as a person of interest in this case. Matthews is not currently wanted on criminal charges in this investigation. However, detectives feel he has knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to interview him.
