NOPD Seeking Suspect in Fifth District Shooting Investigation

The NOPD is seeking assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in the investigation of an aggravated battery by shooting on May 9, 2022, in the 4400 block of Dauphine Street.

The unidentified pictured black male is wanted in connection with this incident. The subject is believed to be homeless and is known to frequent the area, as well as areas in the Sith and Eighth districts.  The subject’s real name and date of birth is unknown. However, he is known to go by the aliases of “Malik Hunter”, “Black”, “Rooster” and “Black Friday.” He is further described as having a dark complexion, short hairstyle and a goatee.
