UPDATE: NOPD Arrests Wanted Suspect in Eighth District Armed Robbery Investigation

UPDATE: Wanted suspect Halbert “Black” Wilson was located by NOPD Eighth District detectives on August 25, 2022, in regards to this investigation. He was arrested and booked accordingly.

 

ORIGINAL The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Halbert Wilson Jr. (black male, DOB: 08-30-1972) in the investigation of an armed robbery that occurred on May 15, 2022, in the 800 block of Saint Lous Street.

At about 6:55 a.m., the perpetrator in this incident allegedly pointed a handgun at a female victim, stole cash from the victim and fled on a bicycle.

Through further investigation, NOPD Eighth District detectives developed and positively identified Wilson as the perpetrator. He is wanted for armed robbery and use of a firearm during a robbery.
