NOPD Arrests Suspect in Seventh District Shooting

The NOPD today (May 11, 2021) arrested Kevin D. Tyler III (pictured, black male, DOB; 07-19-1998) in the investigation of a shooting on April 4, 2021 in the 11200 block of Curran Boulevard.

Through investigation, NOPD Seventh District detectives determined that Tyler was the perpetrator in this incident where the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

With his attorney present, Tyler surrendered to police on May 11, 2021. He was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center on one count of aggravated second-degree battery.
