The NOPD arrested Kendall Sansom (pictured, DOB: 10-15-1985) after he was found to be in possession of illegal drugs and a firearm in the Seventh District.
NOPD Seventh District Task Force officers conducted a suspicious person stop after smelling a strong odor of marijuana coming from a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Sansom, was found to be in possession of a hand-rolled cigar containing marijuana, a fully loaded black handgun, a metal grinder, a clear plastic bag containing marijuana and a clear plastic bag containing three Xanax pills and 14 Ecstasy pills.
Sansom was arrested and charged with illegal carrying of a weapon while in possession of narcotics and illegal possession of the aforementioned drugs.
