NOPD Seeking Third Suspect in Fifth District Homicide

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Reginald Blanton (DOB: 07-21-2000) in the ongoing investigation of the homicide of Tyneisha Muse and the shooting of a male victim that occurred on March 29, 2019 at the intersection of Congress and North Prieur Streets.

At about 7:00 p.m., NOPD Fifth District officers responded to calls of shots fired in the 3500 block of N. Prieur Street. Upon arrival, two victims were discovered. A male victim was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, while a female victim suffered a single gunshot wound to the back. Both victims were transported to a local hospital where the female victim later died.

Upon completion of autopsy, and notification of family, the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office identified the deceased victim in this incident as Muse.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives were able to develop Corey Harris (DOB: 09-25-1999), Joshua Aguillard (DOB: 09-16-1998) and Blanton as suspects in this incident.

Members of the NOPD Special Operation Division’s Tactical Intelligence Gathering and Enforcement Response (TIGER) Unit arrested Harris on May 15, while NOPD Seventh District officers arrested Aguillard on May 20. Each was booked for one count of second degree murder, two counts of attempted second degree murder and one count of aggravated criminal damage to property.

At this time, Blanton remains wanted for conspiracy to commit the aforementioned crimes.
