NOPD Searches for Suspect in Seventh District Armed Robbery

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating the pictured subject, who is believed to be responsible for an armed robbery that occurred in the 4300 block of Werner Drive.

On May 1, 2019 around 7:09 p.m., an unknown black male, who appeared to be dressed in women’s clothing, approached the victim and asked for money. The victim refused and the subject reportedly produced a firearm, at which time the victim and the subject engaged in a struggle over the weapon.

During the struggle, the victim reportedly gave the subject the money from his pocket. Upon receiving the money, the subject backed away from the victim, who then fled back to his residence. The victim then heard several shots being fired from the subject’s direction. The subject then fled the scene, heading westbound on Chef Menteur Highway.
