NOPD Identifies Suspect in Sixth District Business Burglary

NOPD Identifies Suspect in Sixth District Business Burglary

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating an individual believed to be responsible for a business burglary in the 2400 block of Louisiana Avenue Parkway on May 4 and May 5, 2019.

On May 4 and 5, two subjects – a black male and black female –were observed exiting a business from the basement with property of the business.

Through investigation, NOPD Sixth District detectives positively identified the female subject as Lynnete Carter (DOB: 08-28-1991), after she returned to the scene while officers were present. Carter was determined to have been one of the perpetrators and was arrested at the scene.

Also through investigation, the male subject was identified as Joseph Mathis (DOB: 10-04-1965). Mathis is currently wanted on two counts of simple burglary in this incident.
