NOPD Arrests Juvenile Suspect in Seventh District Aggravated Assault

On April 26, 2019, the NOPD arrested a 15-year-old juvenile male suspect in an aggravated assault incident which occurred on April 23, 2019 at the intersection of Benson and Chase streets.

Seventh District Officers responded to a suspicious person call in the 8600 block of Chase Street on April 26, where the juvenile was located. As the juvenile was a known wanted subject in the above incident, the juvenile was detained and arrested on active warrants.

A search warrant was executed on the juvenile’s residence, where the pictured handgun, magazine and ammunition was located and confiscated from his bedroom.

The suspect was booked into the Juvenile Justice Center for four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, four counts of simple battery and one count of possession of a firearm by a juvenile.

As the arrested subject is a juvenile, his name and photo will not be released.
