ARRESTED: NOPD Arrests Suspect in Eighth District Armed Robbery

NOPD officers have arrested Robert Dunn (DOB: 08/29/1977) after he was accused of taking property from two victims at knife point.

On March 17, 2019 around 7:30 p.m., the victims were walking in the 800 block of Lafayette Street when they were approached by the suspect who produced a knife and demanded their property.

The victims complied and the subject fled the scene in possession of the victims’ cash and credit cards.

Through further investigation, officers positively identified Dunn as the perpetrator. Officers learned that Dunn was being held at the Orleans Parish Justice Center on a different charge. Dunn was then re-booked for the armed robbery.

Anyone with any information regarding this incident should contact Eighth District detectives at 504-658-6080.
