Vehicle of Interest Sought in Attempted Armed Robbery on Touro Street

The NOPD is seeking to locate a vehicle of interest believed to have been involved in an attempted armed robbery that occurred on May 3, 2018 in the 800 block of Touro Street.

The victim stated that at about 2 a.m., he was traveling south on his bicycle in the 800 block of Touro Street when a silver sedan approached from the rear, drove past him and cut him off. The passenger side window rolled down, at which time a subject inside the vehicle pointed a black handgun at the victim and demanded the victim’s money. The victim stated to the subject that he did not have any money. The victim fled the scene on his bicycle and the vehicle fled on Touro Street.

The vehicle was described as a silver late-model Dodge Charger. The subject was described as a black male with braided hair.

Surveillance photos are included of the vehicle of interest.
