Suspect Arrested in Cutting Incident on Airline Highway

Members of the NOPD’s Violent Offender Warrant Squad today (May 23, 2018) arrested Tiffany Ramos (DOB: 08-17-1986) in connection with an aggravated battery by cutting incident that occurred on May 14, 2018 in the 9300 block of Airline Highway.

In speaking with the victim, officers learned that the victim and a subject identified as Ramos had allegedly been involved in numerous verbal altercation. The victim said he brought Ramos back to her residence in the 9300 block of Airline Highway, where another verbal altercation reportedly occurred. The victim, who had returned to his residence leaving his vehicle at the victim’s residence, later returned to pick up the vehicle. When he arrived, the victim said, Ramos engaged in another verbal altercation during which she allegedly produced a knife and cut the victim on his left forearm. The victim said he then retreated into his truck and fled the scene while calling police.

Through investigation, detectives determined Ramos to be the perpetrator and obtained a warrant for her arrest.

Ramos was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for aggravated battery. Additionally, Ramos was also arrested on a municipal warrant from Orleans Parish and a as a fugitive from Jefferson Parish for a theft charge.
