Suspect Arrested for Aggravated Battery by Shooting on Gervais Street

Officers in the Seventh District have arrested Morris McKnight  (DOB:07/06/98) for an aggravated battery by shooting incident that occurred on April 27, 2018.

McKnight was identified as the perpetrator of an aggravated battery by shooting that occurred in the 8800 block of Gervais Street at approximately 8:28 p.m. McKnight and a known juvenile perpetrator fired shots in the area and struck two juveniles who sustained non-life threatening injuries.

McKnight was detained by members of Probation and Parole at the local office and was then transported to Central Lockup by Seventh District Task Force Officers where he was booked accordingly on May 8, 2018.
