NOPD Investigating Homicide at St. Anthony and North Rocheblave Streets

NOPD Investigating Homicide at St. Anthony and North Rocheblave Streets
The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting in the late hours of May 19, 2018 near the intersection of St. Anthony and North Rocheblave streets.
 
At about 10:55 p.m., Fifth District officers responded to a call of shots fired in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim lying on the sidewalk suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
 
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as a motive.
 
No further information is available at this time. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine official cause of death and release the victim's name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
