The NOPD is investigating a double homicide in the 3400 block of Ursula Spencer Way.
At around 7:05 a.m., Fifth District officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered two adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds inside of a vehicle. They were both pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive.
No further information is available at this time. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine the official cause of death and release the victim's name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
