NOPD officers and members of the Violent Offender Warrant Squad (VOWS) made multiple arrests this week including suspects wanted for murder, robbery, aggravated assault, and battery.

May 13

Sean MacFarland (DOB: 05-12-1984) for aggravated battery. The incident happened in the 700 block of North Rampart Street and he was apprehended in the 700 block of Burgundy.

Eugene Weathers (DOB: 12/13/78) for robbery. The incident took place in the 2700 block of Napoleon Avenue and Weathers was apprehended nearby.

May 14

Clarence McMiller (DOB: 1-2-2000) for two counts each of accessory to simple battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The incident took place at the intersection of Wisner Boulevard and Lelong Drive and he was apprehended nearby.

Jadon Dawson (DOB: 10-6-1998) for two counts each of accessory to simple battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The incident took place at the intersection of Wisner Boulevard and Lelong Drive and he was apprehended nearby.

Amber Gilbert (DOB: 05-16-1989) for aggravated battery. The incident took place in the 500 block of St. Mary Street and she was arrested at the scene.

NOPD also arrested a 15-year-old for battery and a 16-year-old for two counts of accessory to simple battery. The two were involved in an incident that took place at the intersection of Wisner Boulevard and Lelong Drive. Both juveniles were apprehended nearby.

May 15

Christopher Ross (DOB: 4/23/1973) for aggravated assault with a firearm (domestic). The incident took place on May 1, 2017 in the 4000 block of Downman Road. He was arrested at the same location today.

Joseph Smooth (DOB: 11/24/1967) for aggravated assault with a firearm and aggravated battery. The incident occurred in the 6600 block of West Laverne Avenue on April 25, 2017, and the arrest took place at the same location.

Darryl Bannister (DOB: 9/22/1985) for second degree murder. The incident occurred in the 9200 block of Airline Drive on April 29, 2017, and he was arrested at 715 South Broad.

May 16

Terrance Allen (1/4/1991) for aggravated battery. The incident occurred on May 13, 2017, and Allen turned himself in to NOPD on May 16, 2017, after seeing he was wanted on local media outlets.
