The NOPD is seeking assistance in identifying and locating an individual caught on video in connection with a burglary of a business in the 2300 block of Julia Street. The incident occurred on May 18, 2017.

The victim told police that at about 6:30 p.m., the Southern Electronics store at 2301 Julia Street was locked and secured. When he returned to the business at about 7:30 a.m. on May 18, he discovered the glass front of a vending machine inside of the business had been shattered and several items missing from the machine. The owner reviewed security video footage, which showed an unknown subject wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and gray shorts enter the location at about 1:08 a.m. The video shows the subject attempt to kick through the glass on the vending machine, before later throwing a spool of wire at the machine and breaking the glass. The subject is then seen taking items from the vending machine and putting them into a backpack before fleeing the location.
