The NOPD’s Traffic Division is investigating a hit and run crash that occurred on May 6, 2017 on I-10 East at Crowder Boulevard.
At around 12:27 a.m., Seventh District officers responded to a call of a body found on the interstate. Once on scene, officers discovered an older unknown female lying face down on the left shoulder of I-10 eastbound suffering from severe head trauma.
The investigation is ongoing. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine official cause of death and release the victim's name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
