NOPD Investigating a Homicide on Feliciana Street

The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred this morning (May 17, 2017) in the 1200 block of Feliciana Street.

At about 1:39 p.m, Fifth District officers responded to a call of shots fired in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive male lying in the doorway of a residence and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as a motive.

No further information is available at this time. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine official cause of death and release the victim's name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
