NOPD is investigating an unclassified death in the 2100 block of St. Ann Street.
At approximately 9:33 a.m. today (May 22), officers responded to a call of a male body found inside a trash container. Sanitation workers reported finding the body when they attempted to empty the contents of the container into the trash truck.
Due to the location of the body when found, NOPD has assigned the case to the Homicide Division.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office releases victims’ names and official cause of death.
