The NOPD is investigating a double shooting in the 2300 block of North Claiborne Avenue tonight.
At around 8:03 p.m., Fifth District officers responded to an aggravated battery by shooting in the area. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital by EMS. Officers then located a female victim inside of a residence suffering from gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead on scene by EMS.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name and official cause of death.
