The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a subject wanted in connection with an aggravated battery by shooting that occurred this evening (April 2, 2023) in the First District.
At around 7:27 p.m. a group was gathered in the 2400 block of St. Louis Street when an unknown black male (pictured) began shooting at the crowd. The subject was then seen fleeing towards Conti Street.
An adult female, and a 14-year-old girl were injured in the shooting. They were taken to a local hospital where they were last reported in stable condition.
