NOPD VOWS Arrests Suspect in Fifth District Shooting Investigation

The NOPD’s Violent Offender Warrant Squad today (March 25, 2022) arrested Jahari J. Levy Sr. (pictured, black male, DOB: 01-06-1985) in the NOPD Fifth District’s investigation of a December 26, 2021 aggravated battery by shooting incident in the 1300 block of Lesseps Street.

Through investigation, NOPD Fifth District detectives developed and positively identified Levy as the perpetrator in this incident and obtained an arrest warrant.

Today, NOPD VOWS officers located and apprehended Levy in a residence in the 6800 block of Parc Brittany. During enaction of a search warrant, officers located and seized two firearms and a ski mask.

Levy was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center on one count each of aggravated battery, theft, simple battery and domestic abuse charges including battery, child endangerment and battery of a dating partner.
