NOPD Investigating Homicide in First District
Members of the New Orleans Police Department are investigating a Homicide that left a 73-year-old woman dead. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members. The offense occurred on today, March 21, 2022, shortly after 1:30 P.M., in the 300 block of North Scott Street.
 
According to investigators, First District officers responded to a call of a Carjacking, and upon their arrival, officers located the victim lying on the ground unresponsive and suffering from her arm being dismembered from her body. Emergency Medical Technicians pronounced the woman dead on scene.
 
The preliminary indicates that the victim was thrown from her vehicle during the commission of the offense.
 
The investigation active is ongoing. Detectives are looking for four suspects wanted in connection with this Homicide. The suspects fled in the victim’s 2021 grey Nissan Kicks, bearing a Louisiana license plate 759FAR.
