Blood Drive Ongoing for Retired NOPD Officer

A blood drive is being held today and tomorrow (March 16-17, 2022) for Retired NOPD Officer David Waguespack, a 30-plus year veteran of the department who currently works as a civilian with the Mounted Division. David is currently hospitalized, and blood donations are urgently needed to assist in his recovery.

Those wishing to donate blood can visit any Oschner blood bank or blood donation location. In all instances, please be sure to include David Waguespack's name when donating.

Donors are asked to bring a photo ID and to make sure they have eaten and are properly hydrated before donating blood. All blood types are welcome, especially universal donor type O-negative.
