Suspect Sought in First District Shooting

Suspect Sought in First District Shooting

The NOPD is seeking to locate and identify a suspect in the investigation of an aggravated battery by shooting that occurred on March 6, 2020 in the 2600 block of Cleveland Avenue.

At about 5:20 p.m., the victim reportedly met another suspect at the location to perform a transaction.  During that meeting, the pictured suspect arrived on scene armed with a handgun and allegedly shot the victim in the leg. The victim was transported via private conveyance to a hospital and the suspects fled.

Through investigation, the pictured suspect was determined to be the perpetrator who fired at the suspect in this incident. He is described as a black male with a twist hair style, chin strap-style beard and wearing a black sweater with white t-shirt, black jeans and black and white tennis shoes.
