Stolen Vehicle Sought in First District Armed Carjacking

Stolen Vehicle Sought in First District Armed Carjacking

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating a vehicle reported stolen in an armed carjacking incident that occurred on March 28, 2020, as well as the two suspected perpetrators.

At about 12:38 a.m., a 2011 Silver Mercedes ML350 bearing Louisiana license plate 672DTF with heavy rear bumper & muffler damage was stolen during an armed carjacking in the 1700 blk of Rousselin Drive. The vehicle was last observed traveling westbound on Rousselin Drive toward Laharpe Street, then unknown.

One of the perpetrators was described as a brown skinned black male standing approximately 5’4” and in his early 20s wearing a black hooded jacket pulled over his head, a colorful mask over his nose & mouth and black jeans. The suspect was reportedly armed with a handgun.

The second suspect was described as a brown skinned black male with a thin build, standing 5’4” or 5’5” possibly in his late teens, wearing a white hooded jacket pulled over his head, colorful mask over his nose and mouth and armed with a handgun.

For reference purposes, a photo is included of a vehicle similar in year, color, make and model to the vehicle reported stolen in this incident.
