The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public to identify and locate a subject who is wanted in connection with an armed carjacking that occurred in the 700 block of Esplanade Avenue.
On Wednesday, March 4, 2020 around 8:40 p.m., the victim was reportedly entering her 2013 Honda Accord, bearing Louisiana license plate #ZQX462, when an unknown black male approached her from the rear and pointed a firearm at her.
The victim told police that the male instructed her to give up her keys. The suspect then entered the victim’s vehicle and fled westbound on Royal Street.
Through the course of the investigation, NOPD officers learned that three black males, one of which were armed, were observed driving the victim’s stolen vehicle.
