NOPD Arrests Suspect in Seventh District Attempted Murder

On March 6, 2020, the NOPD Violent Offender Warrant Squad arrested Randolph Pembrook (pictured, DOB: 08-25-1990), who was wanted in the investigation of an attempted murder that occurred on February 20, 2020.

At about 11:21 p.m. on February 20, NOPD Seventh District officers were dispatched to the Michoud Boulevard exit off of Interstate 10 East on a call of an aggravated battery by shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a female victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Through investigation, Seventh District detectives positively identified Pembrook as the perpetrator in this incident. Detectives also believe that Pembook forcefully took the victim from a bus stop, drove to the Michoud Bolevard location and shot the victim multiple times with the intent to kill her. Because of these factors, detectives obtained a warrant for Pembrook’s arrest for attempted first degree murder, second degree kidnapping, attempted armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and simple criminal damage to property.

NOPD VOWS officers located Pembrook and arrested him at that location without incident on March 6. Pembrook was transported to the Orleans Parish Justice Center and booked accordingly.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact NOPD Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070.
