The NOPD has arrested multiple subjects in the Eighth District between March 1 and March 3, 2019, after they were found to be in illegal possession of firearms and/or narcotics while on Bourbon Street.
These arrests include:
- Farrell Shelton (DOB: 02-19-1997) and Tyler Stewart (02-02-1998), who were arrested on March 1, 2019 at the intersection of Bourbon and Iberville streets. Shelton was reportedly found to be in illegal possession of a loaded firearm as well as in illegal possession of marijuana, while Stewart was reportedly found to be in illegal possession of a loaded handgun.
- Jaylin Hansbrough (DOB: 03-10-1997) was arrested on March 2, 2019 at the intersection of Bourbon and Bienville streets. Hansbrough was reportedly found to be in illegal possession of a loaded handgun as well as in illegal possession of marijuana.
- Travis Jordan (DOB: 01-14-1998) was arrested on March 2, 2019 in the 100 block of Bourbon Street after patrolling officers discovered Jordan to be in illegal possession of a loaded firearm as well as in illegal possession of both marijuana and Tramadol.
- Daniel Washington (DOB: 02-15-1994) was arrested on March 3, 2019 in the 100 block of Bourbon Street, after reportedly being found in illegal possession of a loaded handgun.
- Justin Williams (DOB: 08-03-1995) was arrested on March 3, 2019 after officers responded to a reported fight at the intersection of Bourbon and Conti streets. Upon breaking up the fight and securing the three individuals involved, officers found Williams to be in illegal possession of two loaded handguns. In addition to the two illegal firearm possession charges, Williams was also charged with disturbing the peace by fighting.
- Kenneth Alexander (DOB: 07-07-1996) was arrested on March 3, 2019 in the 100 block of Bourbon Street, after patrolling officers discovered Alexander to be in illegal possession of a loaded handgun.
- Justin Gray (DOB: 09-13-1995) was arrested on March 3, 2019 in the 400 block of Bourbon Street, after patrolling officers discovered Gray to be in illegal possession of a loaded handgun as well in illegal possession of marijuana.
- Keith Williams (DOB: 09-09-1999) was arrested on March 3, 2019 in the 400 block of Bourbon Street, after patrolling officers discovered Williams to be illegal possession of a loaded handgun.
Each of the suspects was booked accordingly into the Orleans Parish Justice Center.
