ARRESTED: NOPD Apprehends Suspects for Illegal Carrying of Weapons, Possession of Stolen Firearms and Possession of Narcotics

NOPD officers have arrested four suspects after they were accused of illegal carrying of weapons, possession of stolen firearms and possession of narcotics in the Fourth District.

On Sunday, February 24, 2019, members of the Fourth District Task Force and Power Watch conducted a search in the 3500 block of Garden Oaks Drive.

The search yielded the arrest of Treon Florant (DOB:10 /07/1992), for parole violation, possession of firearm by a felon, illegal carrying of a weapon while in possession of narcotics and possession of Tramadol; John Young (DOB: 05/13/1990), for possession of a stolen firearm and illegal carrying of a weapon; Brennan Grant (DOB: 09/16/1997), for illegal carrying of a weapon and possession of a stolen firearm; and Cory Ursin (DOB: 11/07/1996), for possession of a stolen firearm. Officers also confiscated four firearms, two of which were reported stolen from Jefferson Parish.

The subjects were transported to the Orleans Parish Justice Center, where they were booked accordingly.
