Puppy Taken in Armed Robbery on Tulane Avenue

 Puppy Taken in Armed Robbery on Tulane Avenue

The NOPD is searching for a 9-week-old pit bull named Angel who was taken from her owner during an armed robbery incident that occurred on February 25, 2018.

At approximately 11:45 p.m., the victim was walking his dog in the 2000 block of Tulane Avenue when he was approached from behind by a black male riding a dark-colored bicycle with black rims. The suspect then asked the victim if he could buy his dog. The victim advised him that his dog is not for sale and continued walking. The suspect then reportedly lifted his shirt to display a gun and took the victim’s dog. The suspect then fled on South Roman street toward Gravier street then in an unknown direction.

The victim told police he observed the subject armed with a weapon and did not chase him in fear of being injured.

The perpetrator is a described as being a black male, 6’1” tall, slim build with large lips and medium length dreadlocks. The suspect is believed to be in his early 20s.
