NOPD VOWS Unit Arrests Suspect in First District Homicide

The NOPD VOWS Unit and U.S. Marshals Service arrested a suspect wanted for second-degree murder.

 

The NOPD VOWS Unit and U.S. Marshals Service received information on the location of Carlsel Alexander, (B/M, DOB: 8/18/95), wanted for Second Degree Murder in connection with an incident that occurred in the 800 block of North Broad Street.

 

First District officers responded to a call reporting a fight involving a large group of people at the location with shots fired.

 

Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim at the scene suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.

 

EMS treated the victim at the scene, but he later died.

 

Alexander was arrested by the Marshals on March 1, 2018, at the Palace Inn Hotel in the 11000 block of Telephone Road in Houston Texas.

 

Alexander was wanted by Homicide Detective Robert Barrere.
