NOPD VOWS Officers Arrest Subject in Fifth District Homicide

The NOPD VOWS Unit and U.S. Marshalls arrested Larry Reed (DOB: 11-28-1989) in connection with a homicide that occurred in the 1700 block of Allen Street.

The incident happened on April 10, 2016. Fifth District officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting incident. Upon arrival, officers discovered one male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim later succumbed to his injuries.

Reed was wanted by Homicide Detective Nicholas Williams. The subject was apprehended on Wednesday, (March 21) in the 1700 block of Aubry Street.

Reed was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for one count of second degree murder, possession of a firearm and two municipal attachments.
