NOPD Arrests Suspects in Aggravated Assault Incidents

On March 1, 2018, members of the NOPD’s Violent Offender Warrant Squad (VOWS) arrested two individuals in unrelated incidents of aggravated assault with a firearm.

In one incident, VOWS officers arrested Torin Jenkins (DOB: 04-14-1994) in an aggravated assault with a firearm incident that occurred in the 8000 block of Driftwood Street on February 5, 2018.

Jenkins was located on March 1 at a residence in the Fifth District, where he was arrested. He was subsequently booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm. In addition to the aggravated assault charges, Jenkins was also arrested on a probation violation warrant.

In a separate incident, VOWS officers and U.S. Marshals arrested Stephen Landry (DOB: 09-05-1982) in connection with an aggravated assault incident that occurred at the intersection of N. Galvez and Mandeville streets on Febraury 2, 2018.

Landry was located at a residence in the 2100 block of Marigny Street, where he was arrested. Landry was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for aggravated assault with a firearm, aggravated battery and felon in possession of a firearm.
