NOPD Arrests Juvenile in Fifth District Double-Homicide

The NOPD VOWS Unit has arrested a 16-year-old juvenile and charged him in connection with a double-homicide that claimed the life of a male and female victim in the Fifth District.

 

The juvenile, (B/M, 05/29/2001), was arrested on two counts of second-degree murder, for an aggravated battery by shooting that occurred shortly after 5 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2018 near the intersection of  St. Claude Avenue and St. Claude Court.

 

He was taken into custody in the 6800 block of Tara Lane in the Seventh District.

 

On Monday, arriving officers discovered the two adult victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. Both victims were pronounced dead on the scene.
