NOPD’s VOWS, TIGER and U.S. Marshals Make Three More Arrests

NOPD’s VOWS, TIGER and U.S. Marshals Make Three More Arrests

The Violent Offender Warrant Squad (VOWS), U.S. Marshals, and NOPD’s Tactical Intelligence Gathering Enforcement Response (TIGER) Unit have apprehended three individuals for major offenses within the past 24 hours.

 

The VOWS Unit and U.S. Marshals arrested Joshua Lee (DOB: 11/1/1984) for aggravated assault with a firearm. The incident occurred in the 6800 block of Tara Lane on September 22, 2015, and Lee was apprehended today in the 1900 block of St. Roch Avenue.

 

VOWS and the Tactical Intelligence Gathering Enforcement Response (TIGER) Unit arrested Teyantha Boyd (DOB: 2/22/1977) for armed robbery and aggravated assault.  The incident occurred in the 5700 block of Crowder Boulevard on January 10, 2017, and Boyd was arrested in the 7800 block of Symmes Street.

 

The VOWS Unit and U.S. Marshals arrested Jerome Johnson (DOB: 1/25/64) for attempted murder, armed robbery and theft of a motor vehicle in the 4000 block of Tulane Avenue. He was wanted by the Hammond (LA) Police Department. (Photo not available)

The Violent Offender Warrant Squad (VOWS) is responsible for tracking down individuals who are wanted for serious crimes and apprehending suspects with outstanding warrants. This unit operates within the NOPD’s Special Operations Division and works in conjunction with the United States Marshals Office Fugitive Task Force. In 2016 the unit was responsible from more than 500 arrests.
